One of 40 cleantech startups selected globally, PassiveLogic will present its autonomous buildings platform to potential investors and other cleantech industry stakeholders.

PassiveLogic has been selected to present its autonomous buildings platform to investors and industry representatives at the 2020 NREL Industry Growth Forum (IGF), April 29–30, in Denver. The IGF, celebrating its 25th anniversary, is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory. It is one of the nation’s premier events for cleantech entrepreneurs and other industry experts. PassiveLogic was selected from a field of more than 150 entrepreneurs following an extensive selection process.

PassiveLogic addresses what is perhaps the largest energy efficiency opportunity in the economy:

• 41% of energy is consumed by buildings
• 100% of buildings require some kind of control system — enabling broad penetration of the market
• 40% of building energy can be saved through optimal control and commissioning (TIAX report commissioned by U.S. DOE. 2005).

PassiveLogic addresses the opportunity by first solving the fundamental market requirement for control, making our platform 10x easier to implement than other market solutions, while optimizing energy. Based on our pilot results, we demonstrate minimum 30% average energy savings.

More than 500 cleantech investors, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives are expected to attend this year’s IGF in Denver. Among them will be 40 of the nation’s most promising start-up companies, including PassiveLogic, that will be presenting their cleantech innovations to potential investors and industry experts. In addition, the companies will compete for the 2020 Clean Energy Venture Awards.
