PassiveLogic CEO Troy Harvey will be participating in an industry panel for the second year in a row at the annual AHR/ASHRAE Winter Conference. The ASHRAE event runs parallel to the annual AHR Expo and is the premier HVACR industry gathering, giving the perfect opportunity for thought leaders in the space to come together and share advancements with other conference attendees.

Last year Troy teamed up with Nicholas Waern (CEO at Winniio), Jason Houck (CIO at Warez), Steve Jones (Owner at S4 group), and Therese Sullivan (Marketing Leader at Tridium) to discuss ‘Obstacles and Opportunities for HVACR in the Next Decade’. The panel was an extremely successful event, with standing room only in the session as HVACR professionals gathered to learn insights about where the industry is headed.

This year, Troy will be joining the conversation in another panel led by Paul Ehrlich, P.E., of Building Intelligence Group. This year’s session is titled “Best Option for Demand Flexible, Grid Interactive Energy Efficient Buildings: Rule Based Algorithmic Controls or Model Predictive Controls?” And will dive into cutting-edge theory and best practices that enable grid-interactive efficient buildings. Troy will be accompanied by Draguna Vrabie of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Joseph Noworatzky of Automated Logic in what is sure to be another exciting presentation.

The 2021 AHR Expo and ASHRAE conference are happening in Chicago, and have been postponed to March 15–17 due to the pandemic. PassiveLogic will be attending the expo both through the panel and as a vendor exhibitor. We can’t wait for all of the exciting discussions and new partnerships that are bound to happen at this year’s show.
